Hmmm ... ?

I'm going through one of my (thankfully not too regular) phases of not sleeping as well as I should. Currently, I'm getting between 4.5 and 6.5 hours of sleep a night. I'm also thankful that I can happily function on that amount of sleep.

But this is what is puzzling me. I'm not just functioning but doing quite nicely thank you. Now the only thing different from previous insomniac episodes is the amount of exercise I'm getting. For the past month, I have been going to the gym three times a week - two cardiovascular sessions and one of resistance training.

I'm starting to see some muscle definition and I certainly feel fitter but I hadn't thought that exercise could energise me as much as it is.

Well, there's my ramble for the day.
